Turning over a new leaf.

Fall has always signaled new beginning for many reasons- the start of a new school year and a fresh start. For many reasons this is the worst time to start a blog- my professional busy season when schedules are packed with interview season for new fellows and so many of my patients struggling with fall allergies and asthma flares in the Midwest.

This is also the time of year when I look to setting goals for the upcoming year on planet earth and seek out ways to make a positive impact on this planet during the relatively speaking, short time I have.

So what is my purpose of this endeavor:

  1. Discuss and share my knowledge of the prevention and treatment of allergies and autoimmunity through evidence-based but a naturally minded philosophy- granola without the nuts.
  2. Share the ways our family is working on living our best life and the struggles that come along with that journey- a big part of our family culture is food and I love to cook! But with food allergies and intolerances and a busy schedule meal planning is crucial for us to say on track.
  3. To build a community of others who are dealing with the same struggles. There is NO reason for each of us to keep re-inventing the wheel. Our time, energy and money are all precious resources. Let’s learn from one another!
